Reflective Coatings

Cold Mirror Coating

This coating is generally used for applications which require high visual reflection while removing as much infrared heat as possible. It can also be used in laser applications for broadband Krypton beam handling optics.

Specifications:

  • Reflectance: >99% average from 450nm – 650nm
  • T>85% average from 700nm to 2.5µ
  • Scatter and Absorption Loss: < 1.0% (average) over wavelength region
  • Angle of Incidence: 45º (any other angle available upon request)
  • Durability: Meets or exceeds all applicable specifications of MIL-C-675A

Enhanced Silver Coating

This coating is used for primarily for visible applications. However, it does exhibit good reflectance characteristics in the IR region.

Specifications:

  • Reflectance: R> 99% average from 450nm – 650nm
  • Reflectance: R> 98% average from 450nm – 5µ on glass or metal substrates
  • Scatter and Absorption Loss: < 1.0% average
  • Angle of Incidence: 0º (any other angle available upon request)
  • Durability: Exceeds all applicable specs of MIL-M-13508A

HR Coating

This high reflector is designed to operate at all visible and IR wavelengths for most Argon, Krypton, YAG, CO and CO2 lasers.

Specifications:

  • Reflectance: R> 99.8% at any wavelength from 0.4 to 10.6 µ on any index material (1.45-4.0)
  • Scatter and Absorption Loss: < 0.1%
  • Angle of Incidence: 0º (any other angle available upon request)
  • Durability: Meets or exceeds all applicable specifications of MIL-C-675A
  • Temperature Range: -200º to +200ºC
